Wonder Woman FINAL Trailer Review!

Oh boy, these last couple of weeks have been PACKED with Wonder Woman updates, and if you're anything like me, you're LOVING it. Since her introduction in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I have been DYING for her solo film and after what seems like the longest year ever, we're finally getting it! Of course, the non-believers and haters will say what they want to say, but who would've thought Han's girlfriend from the Fast & Furious series would have her very own superhero flick?

Let's be honest, Batman v Superman was nowhere near the masterpiece that it should've been; however, I think the majority can agree that aside from Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman was one of the few reasons why the movie wasn't so bad.

                Getting Into The Trailer...

Leap of Faith

Just a quick rundown, these are the comments and/or concerns that I may have after watching the trailer. I enjoyed it a lot. At least, enjoyed it more than any other trailer I've seen so far this year. The visuals of the scenery were stunning, as they were in every other Wonder Woman trailer we've seen. The shot of Diana leaping from the cliff into the water is AMAZING.

The action scenes look spectacular! It seems like when it comes to the fight and action sequences, the DCEU never fails to amaze. From Man of Steel all the way down to Suicide Squad, even though those films failed miserably, more or less, at least the action kept me wanting more.

Beware of Doctor Poison

More glimpses of Doctor Poison, who by the way, I can't wait to see in action on the big screen. Doesn't that mask look creepy and intimidating? Reminds me of a creepy doll. I don't do creepy dolls, but I'm anxious to see how her character unfolds.

More Steve Trevor

I've always liked Chris Pine as an actor. So naturally, when he was cast to play the role of Trevor, I was excited. We see more dialogue between the meeting of Diana and Steve in what appears to be the fanciest looking cave EVER.

Lasso of Truth!

THIS SCENE RIGHT HERE. We've seen our wondrous super-heroine use her lasso before in Batman v Superman and in previous trailers for the upcoming film, but here we see the lasso being used to get the truth out of Steve. Knowing Chris Pine's humor, I'm expecting this scene to have us laughing here and there before he reveals whatever threat is coming.

Speaking of Steve Trevor, I'm excited to see the chemistry and relationship grow between Diana and Steve in the film. My only concern here is with the film's main events being set back during the World War I era, will we be expecting to see more of Chris Pine in future DCEU films? One can only hope. On a side note, back when Chris Pine was rumored to be Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, I was all for that. Fun fact: Green Lantern is my favorite superhero. Specifically Kyle Rayner-- but at this point, I'll take any Green Lantern introduced in the DCEU. Give us Green Lantern already, Warner Bros.!

Suit-Up!

Diana leaves home and grabs her familiar gear. From what we can gather from all the footage we've seen so far, Diana becoming a warrior princess/hero is shunned but that doesn't appear to be stopping our heroine from her destiny. You get cool points for accepting your fate, Diana!

Wonder Woman Takes Flight?!

Well, I'm sold. This movie will be SUPER (pun intended). We see a shot here of what appears to be Wonder Woman taking flight! Or at least levitating very high into the air for unknown reasons. The action in the film already looks promising, but if we get Wonder Woman zipping around in the air kicking ass, we're in for a treat, folks. But where's the Invisible Jet?!

My Face After Seeing The Trailer

Marvel's Face After Seeing The Trailer

All in all, I'll rate this trailer a solid 10/10. It was by far my favorite of the Wonder Woman trailers that have been released. I'm patiently waiting for the film now. Less than a month to go! I don't think I've had this much trouble waiting since the release of Batman v Superman last year. What did you guys think? Have the trailers and TV spots sold you or are you anticipating another DC flop? Comment below and let us know!

               Questions To Be Answered

1. Ares

A certain character who has been kept tightly under wraps and absent from all footage shown of the film, besides a brief one second glimpse, is Ares. As stated before, Ares makes a VERY brief appearance in one of the previous TV spots for the film. Literally a one second cameo. Maybe even less. I'll admit, I'm very curious to see Ares, but for the most part I'm happy they've kept him a secret until the film's release. We all know the result of a villain being revealed too early before the film...

*Shivers* Let's not talk about the bad times. Keep it moving to a brighter future for the DCEU. Going back to my main point, I can't wait for Ares to surprise me and hopefully blow me away! I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I won't hold my breath.

2. How Much of the Film is Set in the Past?

As seen and confirmed, the film will be set during the World War I era. But just how much of the film will be set in that era? I'm hoping for a portion of the film to at least pick up where we left Diana off in Batman v Superman. With the Justice League film approaching fast for its November 17 release later this year, it's safe to say, we will see some present day scenes in the film. Leading into my next topic...

3. The Justice League

Wonder Woman lands its mark as the film directly before Justice League this coming Fall. In a way, the film should be somewhat of a stepping stone for Justice League. Will we get a Marvel-inspired post-credit scene teasing the next film in the DCEU? Being a huge of fan of the Marvel post-credit scenes, I'm hoping its a yes. November can't come any quicker. It's about time The Justice League make their on-screen debut to rival Marvel's Avengers line-up. Hey, maybe somewhere down the line, years and years from now, we'll finally get a JLA vs. Avengers film. Fingers crossed, but again, I won't hold my breath.
